WE STILL WORK
The current situation in Denmark as well as internationally has only made it even more critical for companies to be without a CEO, a director, or a manager.
Companies must, right now and indefinitely, make decisions on market closures, demobilisations, layoffs, and finances, and this requires management to stand together as the strongest team possible so that companies can get through the crisis in the best possible way, and with as limited loss of jobs and human tragedy as possible.
That is why we at Laigaard & Partners continue to work, albeit even harder, to help these companies recruit the right persons, so that the companies, who keep the community going, and who, at this time, involuntarily have been charged with these complex management tasks, continuously have the strongest team.
But also we at Laigaard & Partners take the crisis, and not least the risk of virus transmission, seriously, which is why most meetings take place virtually, but we cannot avoid having to meet the final candidates physically, just as our presentations take place physically – we are not yet at a place where presentations and hiring can be done virtually.
We take precautions – candidates and customers meet as few people as possible at our offices, and we have sharpened our already high hygiene measures in the house.
On the positive side, we experience an understanding and accountability from both candidates and corporate boards, directors and managers, which can best be described as follows;
“We know it is part of our job to stand on the bridge as captain or as part of the officers’ group, when the ship is going through high seas with uncertain visibility.”
This makes me ask the question;
“Had we known the Titanic, if the strongest possible team had been responsible on the bridge and shown timely care?”
Thank you to all of you, who risk something by working with that responsibility, and who, despite the situation, keep the community going – you preserve and save not only society, but also jobs and businesses.
Let us hope and believe that this crazy situation, which the country involuntarily has been put in, is stopped as soon as possible, so that we can again jointly share the country’s workload and financial commitment, as well as freedom.
We hope for the best for everyone.
